Due to the hardening level of the handbrake pawl and sector not being to standard excessive wear may take place. If ignored the handbrake will eventually fail to latch and may possibly self release after engagement.
Fix: Affected vehicles will be recalled at which time the handbrake assembly will be replaced with a quality assured unit.

NIPPA · speedometer may convey an incorrect reading

The possibility exists that an incorrectly specified speedometer drive gear has been fitted to some vehicle transmissions .
Fix: Potentially affected vehicles will be recalled to have the speedometer drive gear examined. Affected vehicles will have a correctly calibrated quality assured unit fitted where necessary.
