What Comptons Garage can test

• Class 1: Motorcycles up to 200cc
• Class 2: Motorcycles over 200cc
• Class 3: Three-wheelers up to 450kg
• Class 4: Cars, vans and minibuses
• Class 5: Larger minibuses and buses
• Class 7: Goods vehicles 3,000 to 3,500kg

Before you book

The maximum fee for a class 4 car MOT is £54.85 and £29.65 for a motorcycle; many garages charge less. You can book up to a month (minus a day) before the current certificate runs out and keep the same renewal date. Take the registration; you don’t need the V5C.
