    20 Mar 2026 · R/2026/124

The driver airbag inflator housing may rupture due to excessive internal pressure during normal airbag deployment events. This condition is more likely to occur if the vehicle has been exposed to high levels of absolute humidity for extended periods of time.

Fix: Replace the driver airbag inflator.

  2. 1500, 2500, 3500, 3500 CAB CHASSIS, 4500 CAB CHASSIS, 5500 CAB CHASSIS · passenger airbag inflator

    20 Mar 2026 · R/2026/126

In the event that the airbag is activated excessive internal pressure may cause the inflator body to rupture and metal fragments may pass through the cushion material causing injury to the vehicle occupants and / or in worst cases a fatality. The concern is caused by moisture in the air getting past faulty seals and being absorbed by the pyrotechnic biscuits in the inflator. As a result it is more likely to occur sooner in areas of high humidity and high temperature difference.

Fix: Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and replace the passenger front air bag module which includes the inflator.

  3. 2500, 3500, 3500 CAB CHASSIS, 4500 CAB CHASSIS, 5500 CAB CHASSIS · passenger airbag inflator

    20 Mar 2026 · R/2026/133

The front passenger airbag inflator (PAB) may contain propellant that could possibly degrade over a period of time. This may cause metal fragments to pass through the air bag and into the vehicle interior at high speed which may result in injury to vehicle occupants in the event of a deployment event.

Fix: On affected vehicles replace the inflator assembly.

vehicle count not given · built 25 Apr 2008 to 25 Oct 2010

  4. 3500 CAB CHASSIS · 2010 ram 3500 cab driver airbag inflator

    11 Nov 2025 · R/2025/173

On affected vehicles the driver’s airbag inflator housing may rupture due to excessive internal pressure during normal airbag deployment events. An inflator rupture during airbag deployment events could result in metal fragments striking and potentially seriously injuring the vehicle occupant(s).

    Fix: Replace the drivers airbag.
