  1. CHRYSLER 300, CHRYSLER 300C, CHRYSLER ASPEN · driver airbag inflator

    20 Mar 2026 · R/2026/129

The driver airbag inflator housing may rupture due to excessive internal pressure during normal airbag deployment events. This condition is more likely to occur if the vehicle has been exposed to high levels of absolute humidity for extended periods of time.

Fix: Replace the driver airbag inflator.

    1 vehicle · built 23 Feb 2006 to 11 Jul 2008

  2. CHRYSLER 300, CHRYSLER 300C, CHRYSLER ASPEN · passenger airbag inflator

    20 Mar 2026 · R/2026/131

The front passenger airbag inflator (PAB) may contain propellant that could possibly degrade over a period of time. This may cause metal fragments to pass through the air bag and into the vehicle interior at high speed which may result in injury to vehicle occupants in the event of a deployment event.

Fix: On affected vehicles replace the inflator assembly.

  3. CHRYSLER ASPEN · 2009 chrysler aspen driver airbag inflator

    23 Oct 2025 · R/2025/174

On affected vehicles the driver’s airbag inflator housing may rupture due to excessive internal pressure during normal airbag deployment events. An inflator rupture during airbag deployment events could result in metal fragments striking and potentially seriously injuring the vehicle occupant(s).

    Fix: Replace the drivers airbag.

    1 vehicle · built 7 Mar 2008 to 18 Dec 2008

  4. CHRYSLER 300, CHRYSLER 300C, CHRYSLER ASPEN, CHRYSLER MAGNUM · driver airbag inflator

    30 Jun 2017 · R/2017/174

In the event that the airbag is activated excessive internal pressure may cause the inflator body to rupture and metal fragments may pass through the cushion material causing injury to the vehicle occupants and / or in worst cases a fatality. The concern is caused by moisture in the air getting past faulty seals and being absorbed by the pyrotechnic biscuits in the inflator. As a result it is more likely to occur sooner in areas of high humidity and high temperature difference.

Fix: Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and replace the passenger front air bag module which includes the inflator.
