  1. 2, 3, CITARO, CITARO G, SETRA S 531DT, TOURISMO, TOURISMO L, TOURISMO M · impairment of display messages in the instrument cluster (icuc gen6) on b2e vehicles

    19 Aug 2026 · R/2026/293

On vehicles equipped with the B2E electrical/electronic architecture and the ICUC Gen6 instrument cluster certain status and fault messages are not consistently displayed to the driver in the ICUC. The root cause is an error in the adaptation of the filter logic for messages originating from control units and the Vehicle Message Matrix (VMM) during the transition from ICUC Gen5 to ICUC Gen6. Among others fault messages from the ACM (Aftertreatment Control Module) and the VRDU3 (Video Radar Decision Unit) control units are affected. As a result it cannot be ruled out that individual warning messages required for the safe and proper operation of the vehicle and/or mandated by legislation may not be displayed reliably.

Fix: Remedy is to correct the failure through a software update

  2. 2, 3, SETRA S531DT, TOURISMO, TOURISMO L, TOURISMO M · emergency valve may malfunction

    24 Jun 2026 · R/2026/053

It has been determined that the external emergency valves may malfunction. The issue is caused by an excessively large bore diameter in a component of the door control valve. Because the diameter lies outside the specified tolerance (0.74 mm instead of the required 0.65 mm) compressed air flows back faster than the system can vent. Consequently the pneumatic self‑holding mechanism does not release and the door can only be opened if the internal emergency valve is actuated first. If the external emergency valve is actuated first the defect may prevent the door from opening. In an emergency this could hinder the evacuation of passengers by rescue services.

Fix: Remedy is to replace the door control valves on all doors on affected vehicles.

  3. CITARO, SETRA S531DT, TOURISMO · mdeg/hdep euro vi standard nox sensor monitoring inoperative

    31 Mar 2026 · R/2026/056

The EU directive for commercial vehicles with the Euro 6 emissions standard stipulates that the NOx sensor signal is regularly checked for plausibility. The IUPR monitor (In Use Performance Ratio) was defined for this purpose. At a minimum 50% of vehicles in a class must have this monitor be active at least 10% of the possible time. This is not the case for the affected vehicles. Cause Parameter error in data record creation.

Fix: To remedy this an update software version in engine management (MCM) and exhaust gas aftertreatment (ACM) control units is required.

  4. TOURISMO · possible body panel detachment

    30 Sep 2014 · R/2014/107

On affected vehicles the bonding securing the service panel under the driver's side window may fail and the panel may detach.

Fix: Bond new reinforcement frames to existing panel/framework.
