All Mercedes-Benz Smart CAR recalls, newest first

  1. SMART CAR · loss of control

    18 Sep 2012 · R/2012/088

The tightening torque of a mounting bolt at the right front brake calliper holder of the vehicle may not meet internal specifications. If the tightening torque does not correspond to specification contact of the brake calliper holder with the rim upon braking cannot be ruled out. The controllability of the vehicle could therefore be impaired.

Fix: Check the tightening of the brake calliper holder and correct if necessary.

  2. SMART CAR · rear side lights and number plate light may fail

    7 Apr 2003 · R/2003/046

A combination switch may fail. If this occurs the rear side lights and number plate lights will fail to function. (Brake lights and indicators will operate as normal).

Fix: Recall vehicles and replace the combination switch.

    18 May 1999 · R/2000/056
