  1. SPYDER · fire may occur

    17 Feb 2015 · RSPV/2015/002

Under very hot ambient conditions and low speed riding the temperature in the engine compartment may rise and thereby increase the risk of a skin burn or a vehicle fire.

Fix: Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and install reflecting heat shields and heat deflectors.

  2. SPYDER · fire may occur

    3 Oct 2013 · RSPV/2013/002

Under some riding conditions the tandem master cylinder manifold inlet may melt and allow brake fluid to drip onto a heat source which may lead to a vehicle fire.

Fix: Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to inspect the manifold of the tandem master cylinder and replace where necessary. Reflecting heat shields and heat deflectors will also be installed.

    21 Dec 2012 · RSPV/2012/015

Fuel vapour may exit the fuel vapour canister vent hose in the engine compartment. If these vapours come into contact with an ignition source it will create a risk of a fire.

Fix: Recall all affected machines to inspect the fuel vapour canister vent hose and if required either replace it or re-route it.

    21 Dec 2012 · RSPV/2012/014

    7 Jun 2010 · RSPV/2010/003

When bringing the vehicle to a stop the clutch may remain engaged stalling the engine. Once the engine is stalled it may not restart and the rear wheel could be locked. If this occurs the engine will stall and it will be hard to push the vehicle to a safe place as the rear wheel will be locked.

Fix: Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to update the centrifugal clutch assembly with new components.
