    It has been identified that the connection between the steering shaft and the fork on the steering propshaft may work loose. This if ignored has the potential to cause the steering to fail.

    Fix: Subject vehicle will have the steering shafts checked and replaced as necessary.

  2. F2000 · driver's and passenger's seat heating can become too hot

    Due to the ageing process the resistance within the seat heating system may increase. If the heating is operated at the highest setting this can lead to inadmissibly high temperatures and the possibility of smouldering.

    Fix: Recall affected vehicles check the seat heating system and replace components as necessary.

    An incorrect version of the front and rear crossmembers may allow the coupling to detach.

    Fix: Recall affected vehicles - check the manufacturer and model of 5th wheel ( as this applies to VBG type 65sf sliders) and if crossmembers are of flat construction replace with modified type.

  4. F2000, TG-A · lift axle locating bracket may crack

    21 May 2001 · R/2001/067

    Mid lift axle front hanger and air bag pedestal mounting may not have been welded to the inside of the chassis mounting bracket. This could lead to stress fatigue and subsequent failure.

    Fix: Examine affected vehicles and replace the mounting brackets where necessary.

  5. F2000, TG-A · incorrect air brake piping connections

    It has been found on some of the F2000 and TGA variants fitted with the Hendrickson Mid-Lift Axle assembly that the connections to the relay valve fitted to this application may have been incorrectly connected to the ports 41 and 1.

    Fix: Recall affected vehicles check for incorrect pipe connections and rectify where found necessary.
