  3. L2000, M2000, TG-A · compressed air system may fail

    31 Oct 2005 · R/2005/132

The heads of the blind rivet pins may detach and in unfavourable circumstances get jammed between the valve and the seat of the blow off valve. This means that the valve will be permanently open and that it is no longer possible to fill the compressed air system completely.

Fix: Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected check the model and date of manufacture on the model plate. If affected remove the cartridge and check if the pin heads on the rivets are still firm. If the pin heads are intact rebuild the drier and mark as checked. If the pins have detached find the loose headsremove them and then rebuild the drier with new seal and damping plate. If the pin heads cannot be found a new drier should be fitted.

  4. L2000 · propellor shaft security

    31 Oct 1994 · R/1994/056

The gearbox output flange can come off the gearbox mainshaft whilst the vehicle is in motion and allow the propellor shaft to detach from the vehicle.

Fix: Recall the affected vehicles and replace the original flange with a modified version which allows full tightening of the flange retaining nut.
