  1. B SERIES, XEDOS · moisture could enter the airbag inflator causing the propellnt to degrade

    The absorption of moisture into the driver�s airbag propellant could lead to slow deployment or inflator rupture.

    Fix: Replace the airbag inflator or the airbag assembly. Mazda is still preparing for the development and production of the remedy parts.

  2. MX3, XEDOS · fracture of front suspension coil spring

    There is a possibility that the front suspension coil spring could break. Should this occur the unseated section of the spring could puncture the tyre.

    Fix: Affected vehicles are being recalled for the installation of a protector which would prevent a broken coil spring from penetrating the tyre.

  3. XEDOS · engine wiring harness

    24 Jun 1994 · R/1994/028

    The engine wiring harness may chafe on the anti-lock braking control valve bracket. As a result the wiring may short leading to failure of the ignition or fuel injection system causing the engine to stop without warning.

    Fix: Recall the affected vehicles and install a plastic protector sleeve to the wiring harness in the area of the ABS control valve bracket. Any section of the harness found to be damaged through contact will be repaired prior to sheathing.
