    It is possible reinforcing plates for the drawbar mounting on the trailer may have been manufactured out of brittle steel. This has resulted in fractures around the mounting point on the trailer. If this was not identified during routine maintenance a trailer detachment could have occured.

    Fix: Recall the affected trailer and rework the drawbar mounting on the chassis.

    The coupling rubbing plate may split around the king pin and cross member mountings.

    Fix: Insert a stiffening cross member in front of the king pin.

    There is a possibility that cracking may occur around the rubbing plate area on certain tipping trailers if king pin is fitted in rear position.

    Fix: Recall affected trailers to check condition of rubbing plate and to fix decal to trailer advising customers to fit king pin in forward position.
