AVON VIPER STRYKE SCOOTER TYRES · tyre may deform and/or tead detach
17 Oct 2017 · RTW/2017/002
The tyres may not comply with the requirements of certain US testing requirements (FMVSS 571.119 S6.1 and S7.2 Endurance). Specifically S6.1.2.(a) requires at the conclusion of the test there shall be no evidence of broken cords and S7.2 (d) requires the tyre complete the wheel test as indicated in Table III. The tyres may not complete the prescribed test distance or meet the post-test visual examination requirements. The affected tyres may develop an in-service unsatisfactory ride condition bulge in the tread area or a tread separation that if undetected may ultimately result in the loss of vehicle control and increase the risk of a possible crash.
