  1. DIAVEL · number plate holder assembly may detach

    26 Jun 2014 · RM/2014/018

It is possible that the mounting for the number plate holder sub-frame may crack and if not noted and rectified could lead to this large component detaching from the machine and possibly foul other components which can destabilise the machine.

Fix: Recall the machines that are likely to be affected and replace the number plate holder sub-frame.

  2. DIAVEL · side stand may break

    6 Aug 2012 · RM/2012/013

It has been identified there is a manufacturing error in the side stand of the machine. This error can result in the side stand failing and the machine falling over.

  3. DIAVEL · side stand may bend or break

    12 Sep 2011 · RM/2011/021

The side stand may bend and in extreme circumstances it could break in the rotation pivot area. This could cause the machine to fall to the side resulting in damage to the machine and injuries to anyone stood in close proximity.

Fix: Recall the machines that are likely to be affected to replace the side stand and rotation pivot.

  4. DIAVEL · number plate and chain guard may detach

    23 Jun 2011 · RM/2011/010

The bolts retaining the number plate holder and chain guard may loosen and allow the components to contact the tyre.

Fix: Recall the machines that are likely to be affected to replace the chain guard and to tighten the relevant bolts to a new higher torque setting.

  5. DIAVEL, MULTISTRADA · steering lock may not engage

    13 Apr 2011 · RM/2011/006

Software version of the Hands Free control unit revision 43 under some special conditions of use (upon instrument panel switch on) could fail to disengage the electronic steering lock. It may then be possible to start the engine before realising the steering is still locked.

Fix: A new software version 44 has been designed to allow the reprogram of the hands free control unit.
