  1. FJS600-1, FJS600-2, FJS600A-3, FJS600A-4, FJS600D-3 · the main stand bolts may become loose

    Due to repeated use of the main stand the welded nut on the stand bracket may become detached. The stand could then potentially become completely detached from the machine.

    Fix: Recall likely to be affected machines which will be modified in the following way. 1. 2001 machines. Inspect the condition of the main stand brackets replace the stand bolts and fit additional washers and lock nuts. 2. 2002/03/04 machines. Replace the main stand brackets and bolts and fit additional washers and lock nuts.

  2. FJS600-1, FJS600-2, FJS600A-3, FJS600D-3 · possible fracture of lower handlebar holder bolts.

    A combination of incorrect clearances and road vibration could result in the fracture of the lower handlebar holder fixing bolts. This could affect the directional control of the motorcycle.

    Fix: Countermeasure parts have been produced and will be fitted to all affected machines.

  3. FJS600-1 · fuel tank may leak

    Due to improper filter installation in the fuel pump unit rubber cover the stainless steel filter material may interfere with the aluminium steel fuel tank body through inlet holes in the rubber cover. In turn natural moisture contamination within the fuel tank body may cause galvanic corrosion. In time this corrosion may progress to the point where the tank may become perforated and cause fuel leakage.

    Fix: Recall affected machines and fit rubber cover to fuel pump to prevent interference between fuel tank body and filter material. Additionally any fuel tank with evidence of corrosion will be replaced.
