  1. ANC125, MSX125, NSS300, SH125 · engine may stall without warning

    20 Jun 2016 · RM/2016/022

The engine may be difficult to start and / or the engine may stall without warning from fuel starvation and will be impossible to restart. When fuel is present in the fuel pump it causes the surface of the resin inlet cover to deform and swell into a convex shape. The clearance between the inlet cover and the fuel pump's impeller reduces and the two components interfere with each other. As a result the impeller locks and stops fuel flow to the engine.

Fix: Recall the machines that are likely to be affected and replace the affected fuel pump with a counter measure fuel pump.

  2. MSX125, NSS300 FORZA, SH125 · engine may cut out

    24 Nov 2014 · RM/2014/027

The fuel pump may stop working due to a bracket inside the pump distorting and stopping the impeller from turning. This can lead to the engine cutting out and not restarting.

Fix: Recall the machines that are likely to be affected and replace the fuel pump with a modified unit.

  3. SH125 · engine may stall

    15 Oct 2013 · RM/2013/026

The resin bracket inside the fuel pump may deform and reduce the clearance with the impeller causing the fuel pump to fail. If this concern occurs the machine could either fail to start or whilst riding the engine may stall without warning and not restart.

Fix: Recall the machines that are likely to be affected to replace the pump with a modified type that uses a bracket made of aluminium.

    943 vehicles · built 7 Jul 2012 to 30 Jul 2013

  4. PES125, SH125 · faulty connector may cause engine to stall and could cause fire

    4 Jun 2008 · RM/2008/015

The regulator connector within the wiring harness can generate heat due to a poor connection with the terminal wires. This may cause the connector to overheat which could result in the engine cutting out.

Fix: Recall all the affected machines to remove the terminal connector and install a permanent connection by crimping and soldering the wires together.
