It is possible for ice to build up at the outlet fitting on the cracnkcase ventilation valve and block off the crankcase breather. This can cause oil to leak and contact the exhaust header pipe creating a fire hazard.

    Fix: Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to replace the crankcase breather cartridge with a part with a new design.

    It has been identified that subject machines were manufactured with petcock valve mounting inserts that may become loose due to an imperfect fit of the threads of the petcock valve and the fuel tank mounting area. If a brass mounting insert becomes loose or is pulled from the base of the fuel tank a fuel leak may develop. This can result in a fire hazard.

    Fix: Recalled machines will have the fuel tank replaced with a unit which incorporates changes to the petcock valve.

    The front brake lines could leak due to the fragility of the junction block with the result that the braking system could fail.

    Fix: Recalled machines will be inspected for brake fluid leaks from the front brake lines. Should a leak be found the lines will be replaced and a replacement retainer kit fitted. Should no leakage be present the retainer kit only will be fitted.
