Some ATV models may have been assembled with Electronic Control Modules (ECM) that could contain a defective cooling fan Field Effect Transistor (FET) which affects the ATV's cooking fan system. Should the FET fail in most cases it will drain the vehicle battery and the vehicle will not start. However in extreme circumstances it can cause the ECM to fail and overheat which could cause a fire.
Fix: The manufacturer is to recall all affected vehicles to replace the ECM with a die-cast version which does not contain any combustible material.

The handlebar mounting plate is contained within a moulded rubber vibration insulator on the steering post which may fail as a result of excessive loading and or cyclic fatigue. Should failure occur steering control might be lost.
Fix: Recalled vehicles will be fitted with a steering post support bracket which will eliminate the possibility of a fatigue failure.

It has been identified that the castings of some front bearing carriers have been produced with insufficient material thickness in an area where the lower a-arm and ball joint are attachedto the front bearing carrier. Should the attachment point for the lower a-arm and ball-joint fai vehicular control may be lost.
Fix: Recalled vehicles will have the front bearing carriers replaced with quality assured units.

It has been identified that subject machines were manufactured with petcock valve mounting inserts that may become loose due to an imperfect fit of the threads of the petcock valve and the fuel tank mounting area. If a brass mounting insert becomes loose or is pulled from the base of the fuel tank a fuel leak may develop. This can result in a fire hazard.
Fix: Recalled machines will have the fuel tank replaced with a unit which incorporates changes to the petcock valve.

PREDATOR 500 · brake lines could leak

The front brake lines could leak due to the fragility of the junction block with the result that the braking system could fail.
Fix: Recalled machines will be inspected for brake fluid leaks from the front brake lines. Should a leak be found the lines will be replaced and a replacement retainer kit fitted. Should no leakage be present the retainer kit only will be fitted.
