    The front brake line may contact the front tyre and develop a hole allowing brake fluid leakage

    Fix: Recall affected machines inspect the front brake line and if undamaged install line guide. If damaged replace and reroute using 2010 model year brake line.

    It has been identified that on affected machines the windscreen which is mounted with rubber nuts may become dislodged or strike the rider whilst the machine is being ridden at high speed. Should either of the foregoing occur control of the machine could be lost.

    Fix: Recalled machines will have the windscreen remounted using upgraded fastener assemblies.

  8. XB12X · engine may cut out without warning

    A result of the vibration at the mounting location and the mis-routing of various wires the bank angle sensor can give a false tip signal which causes the engine to cut out. This could in certain circumstances cause an accident.

    Fix: Recall the machines that are likely to be affected to move the bank angle sensor from the original location on the battery tray to the current production location on the seat latch.

    Certain genuine Buell accessory tall windscreens part numbers 58214-06Y and 58214-06YA have been supplied with fixings that do not exhibit the required durability in use once installed; this could lead to a condition where the screen becomes detached striking or distracting the rider.

    Fix: Recall the machines that are likely to be affected to replace the original screen fixings.

    The side stand pivot bolt may come loose in operation creating a situation where either the bolt or stand may fail during normal usage. This situation can lead to a parked machine falling from its stand.
