It is then feasible that the handle locker could come to rest in an unsecured position which could subsequently allow the handle to move to the released/drive position and result in a vehicle roll-away.

    Fix: Recall all effected unit and check for damage. If found to be damaged replace the hand brake valve with a new quality assured item.

    The air brake system has been incorrectly piped. Normally the system will function correctly but if a rear brake reservoir pipe should fail the front brakes may also become ineffective.

    The protective wire shroud on the front brake hoses may contact and in extreme cases puncture the rubber outer casing of the hose. This would allow fluid to escape and adversely affect the braking system.

    The handbrake valve may not have been adequately lubricated on initial assembly. This could result in premature wear of the locking plunger with the risk of the handbrake being dislodged from the ON position.
